Grand prix driving school was founded by Thomas Viitanen who is a Massachusetts certified teacher and he founded the company 36+ years ago. For his continuing education in the field he has been awarded AAA certification, and a CDL commercial license. He has taught over 20,000 student drivers in the last 35 years.
The school believes in taking real responsibility of the students and strive to be a private or professional driving school depending on the requirements and hence instruct the students to be well trained drivers who will be more aware of their obligations and have fewer accidents and develop traffic and road safety rules and the school also takes pride on having a rock solid curriculum sure to produce safe, confident and responsible drivers.
Some of the features of the Grand prix driving school are providing the students complete knowledge about the car and social trends, new materials in manufacturing, radial tires, safety features, computer technology, anti-lock brakes, turbo charged engines, twin cam 16 valve engines. And also provide the students basic driving manoeuvres like driving in centred in the lane with good speed control without excessive braking, method of steering control with eye/hand coordination.

At the Grand prix driving school there are special courses for disabled students, there are specially designed courses for students with failing eyesight, physical disabilities, and handicapped drivers.
There are specially designed courses for highway driving that deal with the highway systems, the courses are aimed to provide the students’ knowledge about the safety features in the vehicle like seat belts, airbags, ABS brakes, children riding safely in the vehicle. The six hours of instruction class includes training for emergency situations like Brake failure, blow outs, going off road, slick surfaces, headlight failure, emergency braking. The course also covers the mechanical details in a short and they include prevention and maintenance of the car, tire inspection, alignment and balance, radials, Mechanics of the drive vehicle systems and also checkingand replacing fluids, identifying problems, car care, automotive first aid, winterising car.
Grand prix driving school also has scholarship and insurance facilities for the students and the courses also provide the students with the complete knowledge of the insurance like premiums, coverage’s and procedure for insurance claim.
